The Role:

As Head of Marketing at Oden, you will be responsible for creating a megaphone for Oden to build brand recognition as the top manufacturing analytics platform in the manufacturing world.

The role requires both strategic and critical thinking as well as the ability to translate strategy into a set of marketing programs and tactics that quickly produce results. You are a seasoned generalist with a  good understanding of and experience with building brands, creating content marketing strategies, building a demand generation engine, and well-versed in best practices in digital marketing. Ideally, you have significant experience in business-to-business marketing.

You will be both player and coach. You need to be execution-minded, not only leading but creating marketing products and content. You will lead and develop a small, agile marketing team over time and manage a pool of external resources.

Together with the product team, you will be educating both internal and external stakeholders about our product features and their benefits, creating brand awareness strategies in order to get in front of key C-suite target customers and developing channel distribution strategies for product content and thought leadership to articulate the benefits of Oden to the manufacturing world.

This position would be either VP- or Director-level depending on the background of the successful candidate.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:

  • Creating comprehensive strategic marketing plans in close collaboration with the product and sales teams and ensuring execution of these plans
  • Develop and execute on brand awareness strategy (PR, corporate communication, etc) that evangelizes Oden’s vision for Industry 4.0 and the progression of technological adoption in the manufacturing sector - and builds key executives as thought leaders in the industry
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategy through a variety of channels including industry conferences, owned webinars and events, CXO Roundtables, and developing thought leadership content such as blog posts, white papers, etc.
  • Own and develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products against other competitors to be used across multiple channels to the technology and manufacturing markets
  • Become an expert on our product, market positioning sales process, current customers, target accounts & existing content to map out the competitive landscape, assist in market segmentation and opportunity sizing, and responsible for identifying areas of opportunities 
  • Work collaboratively with Product, Sales and Customer Success to reach revenue goals and ensure feedback loop between all internal teams
  • Actively testing and learning marketing programs and tactics in order to drive the best results
  • Travel as-needed (up to 15%) to support prospects and marketing efforts

Preferred Experience:

 

  • Minimum 10 years of marketing experience with proven success marketing B2B SaaS to a targeted audience of enterprise customers

 

  • Demonstrated experience as a brand builder. You understand the importance of the brand and know how to build differentiation through thought leadership and content.
  • Proven success in quickly translating strategy into marketing campaigns and tactics that deliver results. You have already had success in bringing new products to market.
  • 3+ years of team and people management experience 
  • Outstanding written, verbal and presentation communication skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple, intuitive messages
  • Deep understanding of how enterprise customers buy corporate-wide products 
  • Strong project management skills and organizational skills to manage multiple projects
  • Data-driven, experimentative approach to testing out new strategies and channels
